Emily & Chris 9.13.14
Emily and Chris got married at Camp Joslin in Charlton MA which is a summer camp for boys with diabetes. When camp is not in session they rent it out for weddings and private events and all the money goes right back the camp and the kids. Pretty awesome huh? That being said, they are not a wedding venue so the couple was responsible for decorating the hall themselves. They certainly rose to the challenge. They purchased tons of string lights on clearance after the holidays in 2013. They hand painted constellations onto table runners, collected bottles and jars for a year to use as vases, and enlisted the help of friends to make a disco ball piñata! The couple created bear-charichatures of each guest for the seating chart (I even got one with cameras and red glasses!) and hand made enough friendship bracelets for everyone. They brought in Smokestack Urban BBQ to cater the event from their truck so the guests got to feast on pulled pork, BBQ chicken and mac&cheese (yum!) amongst other goodies. The rain held out long enough for the couple to have an intimate outdoor ceremony and a few family pictures. All in all the day was a great success and I hope you enjoy this small look into their special day. I certainly enjoyed being a part of it.
